As the description says, give us some feedback on the Halloween Event.

What we did for this holiday:

(Overall)
Changed drops to include Halloween Boxes as rare drop.

Halloween Boxes contained, Vampire Scroll 1, Barrage Aegis 1, 15-day Compass, or one of the 3 masks (Pumpkin, Paper Bag, Jason)

(GM)

Changed drop Rates to 2x and later to 4x

Delivered boxes directly to cash box if signed on forum thread.

(GS)

We handed out hundreds of Halloween Boxes to players who showed up to the location provided.

Had mini Chase and drop events with the boxes.


I would like to hear you guys, the DragonSky community, give us feedback so we can do a better job for our next holiday. Gobble Gobble anyone?

Rates
I personally felt that the drop rate increase was nice for the weekend, maybe an EP rate increase or a Nyang amount increase on the day of Halloween in addition to the drop rate would have been nice.

Also, the lack of a "hello or how u guys enjoying Halloween?" from Vert (Aracton is not in the office on Sat) was a bit of a let down. Continuing with the GM thing, it was said on friday night that Vert would be holding events thru the day on Halloween, and that didnt happen, we got one event, in the evening, that only 3 ppl got to participate in that found him, and that was it. That was a big let down. You guys gotta be around or give the GS tools to entertain the masses

Halloween Boxes
The fact that the drop rate sucked alone is really enough, but, the fact that the dropped ones had a .00001% chance of handing out a mask to the player. The initial 100 boxes that the GS-es handed out also suffered from this plague. Then when we had the issue fixed, ppl were given un-tradeable masks of the wrong *** for their toon 80% of the time, if they even received a mask. I felt the other items inside were appropriately themed, Vampiric Scroll (Vampires), Barrage Aegis (Gotta attack and defend yourself in most horror movies), Compass (When isnt someone lost in a horror flick). That, was a good thing, would have liked some potions maybe like Body Remedy 1's (gotta fix those injuries you survived from the killer ) for the hard work it is to get them to drop since they are rare for some odd reason.

I thought the Halloween was nice but I do have to agree with you on some points panda. The masks was a big disappointment. Not one Halloween box I opened did I receive a mask. I got a mask box from a friend of mine because I missed when they gave out the masks.

Now I LOVE the fact that we got ap items in our goody bags. That was a big plus. However the vampire scrolls in my opinion are junk. They only give you 1% hp in return. They are good for lower level players but not for higher levels, but that is just my 2 cents. I agree some body remedies or maybe attack scrolls would have been a really great addition to the goody bags. I do think the boxes should have said what is inside when we get the drop before we open it. Just for the fact of the compasses. Some people had to trash them because they got so many. I for one value the compasses and do not want to trash them. They are very useful. So Since I got my compass I am hording the rest of my boxes until my compass expires in case I get another one.

I think next Halloween having some new costume choices would be great like vampire outfits, ghosts, witch's, pirates etc. Those would be awesome.

More events are a definite plus. Like maybe for each map there could a mob of the undead we have to kill that drop special goodies like candy that give special effects when used, like and exp increase, def increase etc. Maybe have some drops like pumpkin pieces, when you collect all the pieces to make a pumpkin you turn them into an NPC for some sort of treat.

Last but not least decorate the towns in a spooky scene or every map is now in darkness. Have some sort of decorations scattered about our towns and maps.

The possibilities are endless

Good ideas Nat: costumes, special mobs which drop special items(candys f.ex.) for some additional buff. Really nice. I like also the idea collecting different pieces of stuff which are droped by mobs to exchange them for something special.

Increased drop item rate is really great. It bosts the market. Was urgently needed. I like the boxes too. Btw you can save up those boxes. So if you keep them for a while unopened you will have a delayed expiration date on compass. So you can use them longer.

The only thing i dont like is that the attack on the male pumkin head is bugged. its not added to the stats when you equip it. Only the hp adds. I tried it already on different characters. The male Jason mask works fine. All stats are added. All other halloween hats i donk know.

My only recommendation...

Mix in some HP / Ki meds into the rare box drops.

Well Personally I felt that while the event was nice and that you gave out item mall stuff for free (thank you) the one item i failed to get which really helps celebrate the holiday that the event was for was the mask. I had gotten around 20 Halloween boxes on my own and not a single mask.

One solution i think would have been to make mask there own separate loot on a drop rate of 1/10th of what the box's dropped. Also make it where the mask are not for certain ***'s that way when you get a mask you can use it.

While i appreciate the drop rate x4 I feel that this is almost becoming a all the time thing that the drop rates are being increased. This creates a artificial increase of items into the economy and makes it harder for people to sell there wares. So if you could make 4x drop rate only for special evens and only increase drop rates at other times a rarity not the norm.

Hmmm For Thanksgiving you should Make Turkeys!!!!!!!! And then we have to kill them but only certain ones drop goodies! ^_^

The event was nice with the boxes but only 2 different scrols droped could of droped some potions and what not but other than that it was fun the 4x was good but when farming for pinks and all you get is a box kinda blows the pots you used kill them kinda a big waste...would of like to see more masks drop its a halloween event eveyone should of had a mask...but other than that i like it....like to see what we got in store for next holidays

As for the drop rate, it definitely could have been better. I hope that everyone had fun though.

Events are meant for everyone but I dont think we(the lvl 80 group) enjoying any.

Please try to raise Cap to lvl 90 atleast
