10. How do I add my own music to the game?
Many people ask how they can listen to their music in Project Torque. Well, its quite easy. First of all you have to locate your Project Torque installation directory.
For example: C:\Games\Project Torque\.
Inside you will find a folder called music and within this folder is a file called ReadMe.Now. Open this file using either wordpad, notepad or MS word.
ReadMe.Now file reads:
This directory contains the music tracks of the game.
Copy your own music files into the subfolders, 'menu' and 'ingame',
so you can listen to them while you are playing.
Supported file formats: OGG, MP3, WAV
Navigation keys in the game:
----------------------------
',' - Previous track
'.' - Next track
'Num-' - Volume down
'Num+' - Volume up
So basically all you have to do is just put any OGG, MP3 or WAV audio file in either the music/ingame or music/menu folder and listen to your favorite track.
As the folder names state, menu is for any menu section of the game and ingame for when you are in a race.
To listen to the the tracks, you may have to switch to them with the next/previous key as the standard tracks shipped with the game are still available in-game.
