Q: What does Yosuga mean? How did the name originate?
A: Yosuga is a term from Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne (X-Play's 'RPG of 2004'). Yosuga is a Reason based on elitism and survival of the fittest, where only the chosen elite would possess the right to live. The useless and weak elements of society would be purged from the world, leaving only the powerful and strong. Power is acknowledged as being the only thing of true worth, and only the strongest of the strong would have the right to rule. This Reason is most closely associated with the Chaos alignment of previous Shin Megami Tensei games.

We're currently a growing level 9 clan based in Souhonzen and we're very active and extremely helpful to new players as well as veterans. We are seeking all active/talkative recruits so if that's you, feel free to sign up. We like to sit around and chat about many things but when we go on runs we mean business. Our goal is to be the number one clan but we are not focusing on that goal until we have 100 entertaining members with great personalities to help reach that status. If you're a newer player, we'll gladly help level you and bring you up to speed with the rest of the clan. But that's only if we like you. If you come in asking for powerleveling...you'll be kicked out with the swiftness! ^_^

How to be a member of Staff

DB License: Do you have it? If not, don't even think about being a sub. You can't help people out much if you still need help yourself.

Orange Active Status: The 2nd requirement you need if you wish to be a sub. If you're not active enough there's no way you can be of service to clan.

Quota: You are responsible for recruiting at least one member a day to the clan. And that's not really a hard thing to do. Just be sure to invite only active and social members. Level is unimportant. Why? Because only the strong will survive in Yosuga. They'll level up eventually and we'll make sure they can survive in such a world.

Help Mod Clan Chat: If you see somebody being vulgar or crass, send them a PM and request that they stop. I don't enjoy public humiliation. On repeat offenses. Kick them out.

Be Helpful: As a Yosuga Sub you should be willing to help people anyway that you can. Join a run with them, show them the ropes, try your best to answer ALL questions asked (if you don't know the answer, point them in the right direction to find it), offer advice and overall, just be friendly. Make our members feel at home.

Keep Clannies aware of the Clan Webpage: We will be recieving a lot of members within the next couple of days so it'll be necessary that we remind people of the clan webpage. Events will be up soon so everybody should be aware of their presence. Being an active member on the thread will make me acknowledge you more as well.
And that's it. There are a few other "qualities" i'm looking for but i'd rather i see them from you naturally then paste them here and have everybody try to be a sub. If you think you can perform these duties then send me a PM so we can talk about getting you started as a sub!
Clan Rules:

Don't be vulgar: I enjoy a good dirty joke as much as the next guy but you know when you're crossing the line.
Use common sense.

Don't be rude: If you're racist, homophobic, sexist or anything of that nature that's fine. Take your narrow-minded self to another clan. We have people of all orientations, races and cultural backgrounds in the clan so watch what you say or you will be banned.

Don't ask people for macca/magnetite.: Go farm in nakano or do a dungeon run you lazy bum. Rule voided if you offer a service for the money.

Don't spam the clan chat (especially with caps).: Don't yell at us please.

Don't add a million characters to clan.: You can add an alt character to clan once your first character has hit red status in clan. Two characters per player max. Clan rules apply to each character seperately.

Don't be a dud in dungeons.: My personal game peeve. Don't leech and try your best.

Don't rely only on the clan to level you.: You have a brain. Use it.

Don't be annoying.: Apparently this isn't common sense and I have to post this. Saying "I'm bored" repeatedly will also get you kicked. Make an effort. Do clan events. If you get bored we get bored of you. Don't complain :/

Don't post a million questions.: I know that I sound like I'm contradicting myself since we love recruiting new people but there is a difference between being genuinely confused in the game and
NOT READING the information that the NPC's give to you at the start of the game.
I posted helpful links on the page for a reason. Use them as they are
conveniently located at the bottom of this post. Repeatedly being asked the same question gets old and takes up too much of the clan chat space. Let's save clan chat for fun topics!
If you ABSOLUTELY cannot find the answer to the question you're looking for then yes you can ask away. I just wish to curb the amount of people who can't seem to think on their own from joining the clan. :p

Don't be inactive: We request that you are online for at least an hour every 3 days. If you're going to be gone for longer periods of time, let us know why so we don't kick you out. It would be BEST to update your clan status (in the clan menu in-game) and write how long youll be gone. That way there's no chance I forget when I start excommunicating. ^_^

Don't stay silent: If we don't notice your presence in clan then there's no point in keeping you.
We want quality clan members that keep us entertained. If you're shy or don't talk much, don't join. We love to converse with one another, and it really brings the clan together.
It's frustrating when clan members are only in a clan for the benefits and remain silent until they're looking to mooch off someone's acts. If you are silent within the clan...you will be excommunicated. Simple as that.
That's not too much to ask for is it?
You will get a warning for an offense. You will be excommunicated afterwards! (Except for the last two rules. I will ban you immediately and without warning if I see that you are inactive or not social. If you're kicked for either of those, you may ask to come back into clan. We're not that strict xD However, if you're kicked multiple times for either or...you might want to try a different clan.)

Channel 7 is the official clan channel. Try to keep all activities on this channel to make partying easier and reserve your fusion guage stocks.

Current Events
We're working on some fun ideas for events with some really cool prizes. We're also open to any suggestions you might bring to the table. Feel free to bring any thoughts my way (by posting in the thread) and I'll certainly take them into consideration. If we decide to use your event in any way we'll treat you to a hefty 5K YP so keep the ideas flowing guys!
(NOTE: Any planned events may be canceled without warning if a Happy Hour event or other in game event is happening at the same time.)

Given the sudden rise of artists in our clan, I've decided to re-open the Yosuga Clan Banner Contest once more. Do you have what it takes to create the next best clan banner? If you think you do then this event is for you!
Banner Guidelines:
- The banner may NOT exceed a width of 600 pixels and a height of 200 pixels
- The banner MUST have the words "Yosuga Clan" in it
- The banner must have a Megaten theme!

With the power of our newfound recruits, we were able to easily put an end to the terror that was Matador. His head rolled on the ground as I delivered the final blow to him. As I sheathed my Kris Naga my vision started to fade to black.
Everything was dark...
Suddenly a voice called out to me. It was the man in the suit from before however he failed to show himself this time.
"As I suspected, you easily overcame Matador's challenge. I expected nothing less from you. However the world is not yet at rest my friend. The doomed vision you saw before is still at hand. The ones responsible are still out there young one. They will be a lot more formidable then the demon you just slayed. I have faith in you Devil Buster..."
The voice seemed to die out in the recesses of my mind and I slowly came back to consciousness. Everyone stood over me puzzled and looking beside me. On the ground lay another orb, similar to the one I pocketed earlier. I bent down to pick it up and as I touched it, a vision of Celu Tower creeped into my mind and an eerie presence like something was breathing down my neck swept down my spine. I stored the new orb and looked at my clan members.
"Something is waiting for us at Celu Tower. Let's move!"

Quest Objective:
Prove your worth to fight with the clan leader!
Recruit a new member into the clan and take a screenshot with them next to you BEFORE and AFTER them joining the clan. Then take a pic of you two taking down a boss together (field or in dungeon) and post it on the clanpage!
-All who do this will be rewarded with a raffle entry to help defeat a mysterious new dungeon boss with me on Sunday, November 22nd 2009 @ 3 P.M. EST! Only 4 will be chosen. The rest will be rewarded with 500 YP.

I'm sure all our clannies are gonna be stuffed this Thanksgiving but what will you guys do with all those leftovers? Why not have a grand old fashioned food fight!
Event Objective:
Craft an edible demon to take into PVP!
The rules are simple:
From now until Sunday, November 29nd 2009 @ 3 P.M. EST! you will need to create a demon that looks like it could be eaten (if not easily recognizable as food, describe how it could be eaten) and take a screenshot with it and post it. Then at the designated time, everyone will enter a Fate match. After the match is over WE WILL STAY IN THE PVP CHANNEL and head to the middle of the arena where we will have a free-for-all battle with our demons only. How scrumptious!
The person who wins the food fight will earn 10,000 YP.
(Note: If the player interferes with the battle by healing the demon, casting buffs etc, they will be disqualified from the event)

Not really into the pen and paper work involved with Battle Royale? Then come fight with your true strength in clan PVP! Every FRIDAY @ 6 P.M. EST I would like to invite every clan member to a massive PVP brawl! We'll do 5 Fate matches followed by 5 Valhalla matches! You MUST be lvl 30+ to partake in PVP so get to leveling guys if you have not yet reached it! ^_^ To make things more interesting, at the end of each battle, the player with the highest BP will earn 100 YP! So come take out your anger against a clannie by smashing their face in! And if you think I'm going to take it easy on my clannies......HAHA! Think Again! I'll be waiting!

Saturday @ 6 P.M. EST the clan will do a group field run slaughtering everything in their path from Home 3 to both alignment cities. Work together to take down some of the strongest field bosses, grab some wicked treasure and get to know more about your clannies and bond with each other. (>^_^)>
Dungeon Square-Offs! this event has been postponed until further notice!

Looking to level up a bit? Want some bonding time with the clan? Then join the Dungeon Square-offs! Two or more captains pick teams between our clannies (split evenly by their levels) and race to see who can finish two timed dungeon runs.
Dungeon Square-offs will begin at any time once 10 or more clannies have logged on after 6 P.M. EST on Sundays. The dungeon will vary every Square-off. Members of the winning team will recieve 1k YP each.

How can we be a clan based on Darwin's theory if we do not continually get stronger and better ourselves? So I decided to create an event based on leveling and motivate everyone to grow stronger as a clan. It's simple really. For every level you gain in a given week, I'll give you YP! At the end of the month, whoever gains the most YP through this event will recieve double the amount of YP they gained as a bonus. ^_^

For example: if you level from 33-42 before the weekly deadline, you'll gain 3000 total YP.
*Lvl 9 and below may not participate because it is ridiculously easy to gain those levels.*

To "capture" the demon you need to take a screenshot with it. The demon can be anywhere and may be ANY level so be on the lookout. All screenshots of the demon must be posted before
Monday @ 12 P.M. EST to be eligible. Every person who posts a SS of the CORRECT demon will be awarded 100 YP. The first person to take a screenshot of the CORRECT demon will be awarded 1k YP so try and figure it out fast. ^_^ To kick it up a notch, the person who post the most photojournalistic entry (be creative with the screenshot, get the demon in a funny pose, write a caption, etc) of the CORRECT demon will be awarded an additional 1k YP.

Q: What are Yosuga Points (YP)? How do I obtain them?
A: Yosuga Points are redeemable points exclusive to our clan that you can "cash-in" for various prizes/rewards in game. You recieve 10 points for each coherent post you make in the clan thread (double posts or spam posts will not count towards your total) but to obtain points a bit faster you will need to participate in any clan event that we have posted.

- You may trade any amount of YP between players but post such transactions on the forum
- To ask for an item you MUST post on the clan forum or talk to me in-game. When I acknowledge the offer the transaction will take place in Shinjuku Babel ch 7.
- If you'd like to donate any uncommon/rare items to the list let me know. I'll exchange the item for an equal amount of YP based on it's monetary value. (This is a great option for AP spenders that can't seem to sell their items. Trade your items, rack up points and redeem it for something better)
- If you're ever excommunicated you will lose all of your YP. If you are re-added to clan you will NOT get your YP back as it will start at 0 once more.

It will obviously be a while before I attempt this since I'm lvl 84 atm so take your time getting Yatagarasu and Baphomet though they're both relatively easy to make. Anybody can get bapho so I will reward only 500 YP to the person who gives me one at the time of the fusion. I will award 5k YP to whoever gets the Yatagarasu at the time of the fusion though.
