The event is first come first serve. What this means is not everyone will be ran. We do our best to run as many teams as possible, even going as far as kicking party members who have already been ran but received a new team to incorporate as many different players into this event as possible. Unfortunately, the MegaTen GM team is only four people large, and it's pretty rare that the entire team is here on any given day of the week. With exceptions, it is far more likely for there to be two to three GMs available, and only two GMs running events.
This means, with two GMs, and one hour and thirty minutes for the event, at an average of 10-15 minutes a run, there will only be 18 teams ran for the entire event at best. There is also the chance that one team will get two separate runs by both GMs. Therefore, team leaders who periodically go AFK, wander away, or stop paying attention will be at a distinct disadvantage because they won't be watching for the GM to appear.
GMs also take exception to being spammed tells and party invites before they're ready for their next team. Gotta remember we're people too; sometimes we have to use the restroom, get a drink, etc. Those that choose to spam party invites and tells are usually thrown onto our back burner; if you're in a team with an overzealous party leader, it's in your best interest to tell them to hold their horses.
All that said, none of this is secret or unknown information. Knowing that, you should be aware that you will not be ran every event you attend, but that we hold this event several times a week.
Perhaps you'll have better luck at the next run.
