We will be testing a new patch on our test servers very soon. This patch has undergone extensive QA on the developer's side and will be extremely stable compared to our previous patches. While we cannot guarantee a release date, I assure you that this update is going to be of significantly higher quality than in the past.
Not only that, but we are getting several special holiday events.
*Santa sleigh flying overhead in England
*Holiday paint jobs
*Lights and ornamental decorations
*Redesigned festive menu
*Holiday music for horn honking
*Explorer icons replaced with presents
Additional fixes and/or improvements:
*buggy is only available in fun modes (this is temporary)
*easy courses made more newbie friendly
*many optimization improvements
*memory leaks, fps, and networking issues solved
*load times decreased
*license tests enabled again
*pricing changes
*explorer mode only needs 2 players to start
*force feedback improvements
*camera and race start improvements
*brake now sign removed
*first checkpoint/rescue bug fixed
Some items to take special note of:
*lap times have been wiped due to the fix of several exploits and changes for car performance. This includes both personal and global lap times. We're sorry for any inconvenience this causes, but believe it to be a necessary change to the game.
*We have implemented a new Nickname feature! When you first enter the game after patching you will be prompted to create a new name for yourself. This is a semi-permanent change and will be what other racers will now see you as. I say semi-permanent because we will have a name change item for AP in the shop. Some rules for names:
*The rules that apply to account names also apply to nicknames (special characters, numbers, etc.)
*Do not try to impersonate a GM or any other Aeria representative.
*No curse words.
*continued car performance changes for balancing
